Glad I found your website! I’ve been boating/cruising for over 30 yrs and am still learning how to store food on the boat. Now I just need to find a “flat” knife block that I can mount on the bulkhead.

  2. Love your site and your cookbook ! We are moving onto our boat permanently in 11 months so I have been practicing with your provisioning sheets etc. My question is this, Do you know where I can find information on what food I can and cannot bring into certain countries ? I would hate to load my boat with a lot of food that I will have to throw out. Are there common things not allowed ? Like meat or plants (herbs) or alcohol ? I often read sailing blogs where people say they are inspected when entered countries but they never state what they are being inspected for. Any info or direction is appreciated 🙂

    • Hi Shelley!

The best reference I know of for up to date and accurate info is Noonsite —

The Seven Seas Cruising Association also has pretty good info in their newsletter, but it tends to be far more hit or miss as to when someone has sent in a report.

Rules change all the time, so I hate to give any info that might be out of date . . .
