Nica. Love, love, love “The Boat Galley” podcast! I just listened to your sea bean episode where you talk about taking your collection in VT. I was unfamiliar with these, so googled it and saw they are actual seeds (and very pretty). The blogger said she sometimes planted them and things grew.
I do wonder if it’s a good idea to spread them. I am 99,99% sure these little seeds are not viable in VT condition – and/or are too old, – but what if they weren’t and something became a problem. Yikes. We have a whole list of invasive plants, snails, mussels, etc we are fighting a losing battle with in our waterways. Many from people innocently dumping aquariums. Just a thought. Sorry to be a downer. Do very much love and appreciate the stories from you and all the BG crew. Feel free to not post this comment.
