Quick comment – the “Prefer To Read” link in the email goes to apple.com, it does not link to the text for the voice blog. BTW, love your blog posts, have been following you for about 7 years.

Yes. I agree with Brian. I clicked on the line to read and got the Apple.com website. Can’t get to the article about sodastream, which BTW, I have been using on Permanent Vacation for several years. It’s money and labor saving. I have a second one at home.

It’s fixed now! Sorry!

We used to have a sodastream at home growing up – but with 6 kids, Mum couldn’t afford the syrups all the time so we used to use regular concentrated squash (that would normally be diluted in water) and is available in a lot of different flavours. I’ve also since found more fruity syrups (common in France) and more grown-up type cordials (elderflower; ginger; lime and mint etc), especially as more people want non-alcoholic beverages. So it doesn’t always have to be the official concentrates that you use. So maybe keep the expensive sodastream ones for things like tonic and cola (that I haven’t yet seen other concentrates for).
I am looking at my own sodastream in the near future for life on land initially, but hoping to make it to sea in the next few years.
