The photo shows two batteries in the lower-right wired in parallel. The photo is not perfectly clear, but it appears they are wired unoptimally. The positive and negative should come from opposite batteries to ensure even current flow through both batteries. As is, the two batteries will not be charged and discharged uniformly.
