Cathy Berry says
We were attempting to bring our sailboat up the inland waterway last March. When we left VT for NC, where our sailboat was, planning to spend a few days bring it to Deltaville, VA, the forecast was for a few inches of snow in a storm up here in VT. In the end, we came up the inland waterway catching the southern edge of those massive eastern storms last March. VT got over 3′ while we were gone. It took forever, because we had to keep spending a day not moving because of storms. We sat in Norfolk waiting for the wind to change on the Chesapeake. We caught our one day window, left very early and felt the wind change right before we turned into Deltaville. Never thought I’d be getting snow off the boat! Cleaning broom worked fairly well!
