Ingredients

cups
uncooked oatmeal
(either old-fashioned or quick-cooking)

cup
sliced almonds
(OR , pecans, walnuts or other nuts)

shredded coconut
1/4
cup
sunflower seeds
1/2
cup
maple syrup
(OR honey)

tablespoons
canola oil
(OR other vegetable oil)

teaspoon
salt

chopped, dried fruit
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Mix all ingredients except dried fruit. Spread on a baking sheet.
Bake at 350° F. for 30 minutes
or until golden brown, stirring after 15 minutes. Don’t bake too long, or the granola will be dry.
Remove from the oven and stir in the dried fruit.
Stir occasionally as it is cooling to keep it from clumping together.
When cool, store in an airtight container.
