Recently, I got a bunch of new pictures taken and today finally got them up on The Boat Galley and the Facebook header. Why? Well, between cutting my hair short and losing about 60 pounds due to learning that I have diabetes and getting it under control, cruisers coming through Boot Key Harbor were telling me I “looked nothing like” the pictures on the site.
Okay, I’d get new ones. One of the guys in the harbor — Ray on Santosha — frequently posts gorgeous shots of the harbor and I asked him if he ever did “people pictures.” Sure he did.
Wow. I love the pictures that Ray took. We spent about an hour and a half together, all over the harbor and ashore. And that was long enough to make me start feeling comfortable in front of the camera — it’s funny how much better the last ones are than the first ones!
I just had to share a few of the pictures and add that if you’re coming through Marathon and want some good photos of yourself or your boat, talk to Ray Crowder — his email is [email protected] It was really fun to work with him!
And two of my favorite boat shots he’s done . . . then a great one of the dinghy docks at night.
