Cyndy says
Oh my! 5 years later and listening (for the first time) put me right back there. I have since learned that the weather I got hit by is colloquially called a “hook”. I also learned that you cannot heave to because of the wind shear.
A friend recently lost his boat in the same type of situation. It just looks like a blue line with no wind on Windy. The wind may be blowing into it or out of it depending on the pressure.
Thank you again for your advice and encouragement since I started this wonderful, crazy life in 2012.
I have to stay away from the Marmara site these days because I’m a sucker for their beautiful, soft, absorbent products. I have at least 12 ‘towels’. I use them for everything! Towels, table covers, shawls, light covering at night, seat covers (I hate sticking to the closed cell cushions), pareos…. so many uses, fast dry and they last forever!! And they’re pretty!
