Yesterday was pretty wild. At 8:30 AM, I posted the listing for our house and we went out and put up all the “For Sale” signs. At 8:30 PM, we accepted a no contingencies offer. AND they want our furniture, dishes and anything else we want to leave behind (it’ll be a second home for them). So it’s going to be a quick closing and move out.
Our heads are spinning!
We’re suddenly a lot closer to being full-time cruisers again. WOW.
And for those who are asking, no, we don’t know what we’re going to do for hurricane season. My guess is that we’ll leave the boat in storage (it’s in a very secure spot) and first, just take a bit of down time after what will have been a wild two months. Then we’ll most likely do some travel to visit kids and other family . . . and “places we’ve always wanted to go.” Late summer or early fall, we’ll return to the boat and start some of the work we want to do before putting her back in the water. But that’s all written in the sand at low tide.
For now, we’re just thinking about what we have to do in the next couple of weeks . . .
