And there have been a lot more — too many for me to list them all.
If you’ve got something that is somehow galley-related (or a good boat dog piece of advice), please send me an e-mail and include photos if you can. You can send it to carolyn (at) theboatgalley (dot) com.
I love it when readers share ideas that I hadn’t thought of. An easier way to do something, a great product, or a tip to solve a nagging problem. It makes The Boat Galley so much better than if it were just what I know!
And if I use your information in an article, you might find yourself receiving a little gift. (HINT: see picture at the top of this article.)
To you, it probably looks like one of those reusable shopping bags that you can buy for a buck at every store (well, yeah, it is . . . except for being red and the logo).
To me, that’s a “thank you” bag. In the fall of 2011, I had a bunch of these made up. And I’ve been sending them to readers who had sent me something that ended up as an article (if you sent me something in the past and haven’t received your bag, send me a note — there’s a couple of people I couldn’t find!).
And I’ll admit to a couple of ulterior motives with the bags. First, I truly hate plastic bags – they get caught by the wind and accidentally end up in the water or littering the landscape, plus they’re made from petroleum. So I’m hoping you’ll use this bag when you shop. And second, I hope others will see you using the bag and stop by The Boat Galley.
I’m looking forward to some great tips!
