Posting Schedule

You may have noticed that my posting schedule for new articles is pretty, um, erratic right now.

Things just aren’t quite “normal” here on The Boat Galley. Ever since I began TBG, I’ve tried to write 3 or 4 new posts a week and answer emails and Facebook messages in 24 hours. I also usually post older but relevant articles twice a day on Facebook.

Now, suddenly, sometimes I’ll post three days in a row, then nothing for another three. Then one, and another gap.

Obviously, there is no schedule! And it’s going to get worse in the next couple weeks.

The bottom line is that we’ve been doing a ton of work on Barefoot Gal, our new-to-us boat. We have a tentative launch date set for Monday, the 8th, and we’re hoping – if all goes well and weather permitting – to be down in the Keys a couple weeks after that.

All this work means that I have a huge list of post ideas and not enough time to write them up.

And as we move from Ft. Myers to the Keys, I’m going to have stretches without internet – depending on where we have to wait for weather, it may be for several days. That means only will posts appear haphazardly, but so will Facebook posts. And emails may not get prompt answers.

Once we’re in the Keys I hope to return to a more normal schedule.

In the meantime, I am trying to post pictures and updates on The Boat Galley’s Facebook page, the 12 Days of Holiday Discounts is going on (many of the deals are good through the end of the month!) and new giveaways will start on December 9 and 16. And feel free to roam through my older articles!

  1. Bill Dixon says:

Carolyn, you will have good cell phone coverage near shore to Naples, and Marco, on to Goodland. Not much beyond there although we did get one or two bars in the Russel Pass anchorage off the Baron River. Then nothing till the keys. We take 5 days to do the trip Jan just did overnight.

  2. Thats fine you are busy…

  3. It’s the season. Happy for your prospective launch. Best wishes
